Friday Favorites

I'm linking up with MomfessionalsGrace and LoveA Little Bit of EverythingThe Diary of a Real Housewife, and September Farm to share my Friday favorites!

1.  Kendra Scott earrings in Aggie maroon!

I love me some Kendra Scott, and even more that Aggie maroon is a color choice this season!  It is so hard to find clothing and accessories in the perfect shade of Aggie maroon!  I SO need a pair of these earrings for football season - definitely on my birthday list!

2.  Ceramic egg carton as earring holder

Speaking of earrings...I've seen these ceramic egg cartons at several stores lately and recently impulse-bought one.  I love it for organizing my earrings so they are easy to find (I keep it on my nightstand) - so much better than the jumbled jewelry box I was using before!

3.  Hopdoddy Burger Bar

Source
My brothers suggested Hopdoddy for dinner one night this week when my parents were in town - I had never even heard of this place.  Their menu had lots of burgers with unique toppings, and everything I tasted was DELICIOUS.  I can personally vouch for the Magic Shroom burger, fries with green chile queso (OMG), and the nutella and chocolate pretzel milkshake (don't worry, all of these things were shared - I didn't consume them all myself!)  If you live in Austin, Dallas, Scottsdale, or Denver, try it out!

4.  Target Estella Wedge Booties

I am one of those people that is hesitant to spend a lot of money on a trend - especially if it's something I'm not sure I can pull off (and am therefore not likely to wear often enough).  These wedge booties at Target seemed like the perfect alternative for my first foray into wedge booties - and at $30, the price was right.  I've only worn them once (as there have been very few days warm enough to count as "fall" weather here) but they were surprisingly comfortable for how inexpensive they were.  I'm excited to break them out more often this fall - maybe I'll get brave enough to spend a little more on the Toms version someday.

5.  Naked and Afraid

Source
Summertime TV is rough - I hate the long gap between seasons of all my favorite shows.  However, Naked and Afraid helped bridge some of the gap this summer. I don't know what it is about this show that is so fascinating....the idea of people who would go on national TV, naked, with a stranger of the opposite sex, and attempt to survive in the wilderness for 21 days is just crazy.  Would this win a coveted spot on my DVR series recording list over Parenthood, Downton Abbey, or Scandal?  No, but for a summer show, it was amazing.

  2. Stopping by from the linkup. I bought those booties from Target a couple of weeks ago. Love them! I think I need that ceramic egg carton, but for eggs. We have chickens. Our eggs would look so much better in that compared to the plastic carton on the counter :)
